Auxotroph

Ring-based generative pattern sequencer with simple FM synthesis. Stochastic and polyrhythmic.

NB: this generative music app is now two plugins: a MIDI processor (Auxotroph) that does the generation, and an instrument (Auxotroph FM) that synthesises the sounds. The standalone app uses both in tandem, but they can also be loaded separately into an AU host like Logic, so you can use the sequencer to drive other instruments via MIDI, and you can play the synth with a MIDI keyboard, sequencer or other plugin.

Vagabond

NB: this is an instrument plugin, not an effect. It can be run standalone as well as in AU hosts like Logic Pro.

Vagabond also bundles the Twelve MIDI generator plugin. The unbundled Mac release of Twelve (below) will probably be removed at some point.

This is a MIDI processor plugin, not an effect. It needs to be hooked to an instrument to actually make a sound.
