Walky Talky Software — AUv3 audio effects for iOS and macOS

Installation

macOS

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file and drag the app to your Applications folder.
  2. Launch the app once — this registers the Audio Unit with the system.
  3. The plugin will appear as an AUv3 effect in any compatible AU host (Logic Pro, GarageBand, SoundSource, AUM, etc.).

If the plugin doesn't appear immediately, quit and relaunch your host application.

iOS

iOS apps are available through the App Store. Once installed, the Audio Unit extension is registered automatically — no extra steps needed. Open your AU host and look for the plugin under Audio Unit Extensions.

Clearing the AU cache

macOS caches Audio Unit registrations. If a plugin doesn't appear after installation or an update, run this command in Terminal and then restart your host:

killall -9 AudioComponentRegistrar

On iOS, deleting and reinstalling the host app's AU cache (or restarting the device) usually resolves similar issues.

Compatibility

Requirements

Tested hosts

AUM · ApeMatrix · GarageBand · Logic Pro · SoundSource · Audiobus · BeatMaker · Cubasis

The plugins follow the AUv3 standard and should work in any compliant host, but behaviour may vary.

Troubleshooting

  2. Quit and relaunch the host application.
